What is an Automated Dosing System?
An automated dosing system is designed to precisely manage the delivery of nutrients and water to hydroponic plants. This system automates the process of mixing and dispensing nutrient solutions, ensuring that plants receive the optimal amount of nutrients at the right time. By utilizing sensors and advanced algorithms, the automated dosing system monitors the pH levels, electrical conductivity (EC), and overall nutrient balance in the water. This real-time monitoring and adjustment capability helps maintain a stable growing environment, promoting healthier and more vigorous plant growth while reducing the risk of human error and nutrient imbalances.
One of the key benefits of an automated dosing system is its ability to streamline the hydroponic farming process, making it more accessible and manageable for both novice and experienced growers. How does this work?
To break it down, we can see two functions carried out by an automated dosing system.
- The first one is monitoring the solution.
The sensors in the system monitor parameters like pH levels, Electrical Conductivity and temperature of water are measured and compared against the data that was fed into the system.
- The second one is the dosing.
In response to real-time calculations, the Hydronect system makes precise adjustments and operates the dosing pumps accordingly. The dosing pumps are connected to containers holding nutrients and pH adjusters. Based on the calculations, the system retrieves the necessary amounts of nutrients and pH adjusters from these containers, following pre-given instructions to maintain optimal growing conditions.
The Hydronect dosing system includes a 50L tank for holding the nutrient solution, along with three pumps connected to three separate containers. These containers accommodate Fertilizer A, Fertilizer B, and pH adjusters, ensuring that your plants receive the exact nutrients they need for healthy growth.
Inbuilt Irrigation/ water circulation system
Hydronect system utilize an advanced water circulation system that optimizes nutrient delivery and plant hydration. Water is pumped vertically and let fall under gravity within the tower at pre-determined intervals, ensuring that each plant roots receives consistent moisture and nutrients. As plants absorb these nutrients over time, the water gradually becomes diluted. To maintain optimal growing conditions, this nutrient-depleted water is drawn back into the main tank.
In the main tank, the automated dosing system corrects the nutrient concentration and pH levels, ensuring that the water is perfectly balanced for the plants' needs. Once the corrections are made, the newly enriched solution is recirculated back into the tower, continuing the cycle of nourishment. This continuous monitoring and adjustment process not only ensures that plants receive the ideal mix of nutrients but also conserves water and resources, making the Hydronect system both efficient and sustainable.
Environmental Monitoring
Our advanced environmental monitoring system keeps track of ambient temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and air quality to ensure the ideal conditions for your plants. Using industrial-grade sensors, it continuously collects data and adjusts the frequency of the tower pumps accordingly. This ensures that your plants receive the perfect amount of water and nutrients based on real-time environmental inputs.
Individual Tower Pump Control
Hydronect provides precise control over each tower pump, switching them on and off based on specific inputs. This system considers the unique needs of different plants, their growth stages, and varying environmental conditions.
